Forever Young

September 22, 2016

Today was my brother's birthday; too bad he couldn't be around to meet his nieces.

Sierra and I had some time to take silly pictures together before she went to preschool today. The preschool that she attends now is twice/week and 3 hours per day. It's a CO-OP so we have to volunteer 2 times per month. Gus takes a half day at work one day and I do the other day.

Eve and Sierra are absolutely adorable in the bath together... some nights. Other nights they like to make mischief!
We went to a baby shower yesterday, but instead of gifts we were all told to bring a frozen meal. I love that idea. I actually wanted that for when I was pregnant with Eve, but we were also getting ready to move at the same time so it got too busy.
We went to our neighbor's ("FRIEND"), Jacob's, 2nd birthday party while my aunt was in town. She was a great help with the girls.

We brought her for a hike down to the river.

She had some play time with Sierra while she was visiting.
Before she arrived Gus and I brought the girls up to Tollhouse.

Sierra's Halloween costume came from Nana last week.
We visited Sequoia Brewery and restaurant while my dad was in town.
Anne had some silly mustaches at her house that my dad and I took advantage of using.
Pictures for Gus while he's at work!
 Silly faces with Pop Pop!
Our chickens and (Twinkle) our rooster are all doing well. Now one of our silver laced chickens is laying too! Hooray!
More good times with Pop Pop and the girls.
Gus' colleague has a little girl who will be two soon (I think). The girls love her, and we even had them over for dinner one night this past month. We stopped into visit Gus for lunch and they were visiting for lunch too.

We went to a one year olds' birthday party at Shaver Lake and had a great time.
 Even when it got chilly.

We've been getting out much more now that the temperature has dropped below 100... although we did get up to 103 a few days ago.

Fairy houses have been the theme for the last month. We have built quite a few. I am sure we have built at least 4, but it may have been more.

 Pretty sunsets.
Sierra has become such a good big sister, and she genuinely loves and misses Eve when she's away from her now.
We went to the zoo with Emily, Esther, and Grammy too. Esther and Sierra were having so much fun they gave each other a great big hug. A rare sight for Esther.

On the hot days our kiddo pool with the holes in it still get good use!
 Fairy houses!
Sand pies on the neighborhood roads.
First day of school for Sierra!

I brought Sierra and Eve on a camping trip without Gus, but I was with my friend Emily and her family so it made it much easier than doing it completely alone.
Sierra found a boulder and climbed up it just like her older friend Edwin.

We also took the canoe out on Shaver lake this month. Gus got out camping/fishing/canoeing with his friend a week or so before, and it inspired us to take out the kids!
